Documentary: What is Fueling the Homeless Crisis and How the Community Can Help

CASPER, WY–Wyoming Rescue Mission, the state’s only full-service homeless shelter, is hosting an exclusive pre-release screening of Americans With No Address, a 90-minute documentary that investigates one of the most critical crises in our country today: homelessness. This eye-opening documentary, which has been accepted in several film festivals, captures the untold stories of those experiencing homelessness, while at the same time, seeks to uncover answers to the issue.

The documentary team spent three weeks interviewing people in 20 major cities across 18 states, including top experts on homelessness, CEOs and Executive Directors of local and national nonprofit organizations, and political leaders. They also interviewed individuals who have experienced or are currently experiencing homelessness.

The human side of those experiencing homelessness is very real. The documentary by Robert Craig Films and narrated by William Baldwin, illuminates this pressing social issue. Americans With No Address documentary and No Address movie are two parts of a five-production approach that includes an interactive study guide, a novel, and a soundtrack. The hope is that these productions will inspire all Americans with addresses to engage those without addresses with empathy and to take action in our local communities.

The private pre-release screening will be hosted by Wyoming Rescue Mission at Highland Park Community Church in Casper, on Thursday, October 17, at 6 p.m. There is no cost to attend, but Wyoming Rescue Mission kindly requests donations of Thanksgiving non-perishable meal items (canned yams, green beans, stuffing mix, cream of mushroom soup, etc.)
