Important Message from Brad Hopkins

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7

Dear Friends,

In this uncertain time, a time of emergency, the COVID-19 pandemic, I want you to know that Wyoming Rescue Mission is committed to serving the most vulnerable people in our community, just as we have for the past 42 years. We care deeply about the men, women and families who come to the Mission for meals, shelter and programs.

As the COVID-19 pandemic unfolds and changes by the minute we are asking our community for support.

Here are some of our most critical needs:

  1. We need brave volunteers to help us serve meals to our guests and participants. Do not volunteer if you are 60 years of age or older, have health issues, or think you’ve been exposed to the virus.
  2. Donate food at Park Street Center.
  3. Donate Financially

I have called on our staff as never before to dig deeper, to do more to help in this trying time. If you can dig deeper, join us in this fight in whatever way you can to help our most vulnerable neighbors. We covet your prayers.

Sincerely,
Brad Hopkins
Executive Director

To our Rescued Treasures Thrift Store shoppers, donors and friends, please keep us in your prayers during these difficult days of this national health crisis as we serve on the front lines of care for those with no home quarantine option. In taking great precaution for the health and safety of our staff and customers, the Casper-Natrona County Health Department has inspected our operation and we continue to follow their best-practice advice to us and other retailers who continue to serve during this crisis. Wyoming Rescue Mission continues to serve those with no home-quarantine option in our community, thanks to your help and support! All entrants to the mission are now verbally screened and temperature-checked upon entering. We appreciate volunteers, staff and community members' willingness to comply with these procedures to help limit any potential exposure to the virus. Strategies are in place for transporting potentially sick guests to testing and offsite waiting facilities. Many thanks to the Casper-Natrona County Health Department and many other local partners for their quick work to setup quarantine options.

We are grateful for the many strong, healthy volunteers who have chosen to continue serving alongside our staff during this time. For those who have been advised to discontinue service due to health concerns, or for a list of open dates and times when help is currently needed, please call 265-3002.
